Surnga (Jhapa), June 17: Two persons were arrested from Bhadrapur of
Jhapa for their alleged involvement in threatening medical operators and
taking money from them.
A police squad arrested Upendra Thakur, 50, of Bhadrapur municipality-7
and his 41-year-old brother Dharma Kumar Thakur for issuing threats to
medical operators to recover money from them, said Superintendant of
Police at Jhapa District Police Office, Hari Prasad Sharma.
SP Sharma informed that the Thakur brother duo had recovered Rs 70,000 from Srijana Medical Hall operated by Tika Sapkota and his spouse of Bhadrapur municipality-8 stating the medicines bought from the Medical Hall was date expired.
Though the medicine was purchased by Jeevan Saha of Bhadrapur municipality-6 the Thakur bothers have misused this to threaten medical operator for money.
A public offense case was registered against the Thakur brothers on Thursday, police said. RSS
